Brioche Buns

Brioche buns are a classic choice for burgers and sandwiches. These are soft, buttery, dairy free, and easy to make.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 Add warm water to eggs
  2. Step 2 Add yeast, sugar, and salt
  3. Step 3 Add bread flour, rest 15 minutes
  4. Step 4 Microwave butter for 40 seconds and mix in
  5. Step 5 Shape dough to get a smooth surface
  6. Step 6 Rest 2 to 2.5 hours (windowpane test)
  7. Step 7 Deflate dough and roll flat. Cut into 12 pieces
  8. Step 8 Shape into balls and press flat
  9. Step 9 Rest in oven for 45 minutes with a cup of hot water to rise
  10. Step 10 Remove buns. Preheat oven to 400°F
  11. Step 11 Brush with egg wash and again when oven is ready
  12. Step 12 Bake for 13-15 minutes, rotating halfway through
